ABOUT CECA
The Calgary Evergreen Community Association (CECA) is a volunteer non-for-profit organization formed by the residents of Evergreen whose focus is “Working Together for Our Community’s Future” by:
• managing and directing its social and recreational activities
• acting as an intervener in civic matters (planning and development)
• planning for future community facilities and amenities
• membership is voluntary
How is it different than the Evergreen Resident’s Association?
A resident's association is a compulsory organization created by a land developer (in Evergreen it is Genstar):
• To manage and maintain the "marketing" amenities (entrance signage, ornamental parks and ponds, boulevard landscaping and buildings) of a development that the City will not accept responsibility to maintain
• Membership is compulsory and the requirement to pay an annual fee is collected by the association through a caveat on title
• All questions or concerns (i.e. Garbage pickup, snow removal, burned out lamps, green space damage, etc.) can be directed to Genstar at 256-4000
